thank you! i love the curly girl method now..i didn’t do it when i recorded
this but have started it since and it changed my hair! i also did an
updated styling my hair video you might want to check out- i think it’s
    even better way to apply

umm i don’t remember..i rotate my shampoos and conditioners constantly..but
now i use only sulfate and silicone free stuff. at the time of this
recording i was still using silicones

I’m so excited to try this! You’re the first person I’ve seen with hair
just like mine (although yours is much thicker) and nothing I have tried
looks good. Everyone swears by the curly girl method, but it does nothing
for me! Thank you for this video!

aaww thank you very much for the kind words & compliments! try styling your
hair with rake & shake- you might be able to “scrunch” up the straighter
pieces and then if you don’t scrunch as much on the curlier ones it might
even out a bit? always worth playing around with. shine serums & not
touching hair while drying really helps tame some frizz :)

Thank you for your videos. I regret the abuse I give to my naturally
wavy/curly hair with blowdrying, coloring, straightening, etc. I am
determined to bring health back to it and embrace my waves. Your tips and
videos have been very helpful!!! And I must say that your videos are much
more entertaining than some of the others I’ve seen! So, thank you so much!!

Thanks for those tips, I will try your suggestions and see what happens.
I’m also trying to grow my hair out for the first time in my life and it’s
a daily battle to have decent looking hair (but it’s all fun). Look forward
    to the next video.

Hi Diane, I just wanted to ask if that curl towel that u used makes a
difference compared if u don’t do it. Its my first time seeing it. So its
supposed to take excess moister cause it would make it frizzy
otherwise??….I appreciate the info girl. Thanx :)

no matter how much conditioner and gel i use my hair is still frizzy. is
    there anything i can do?

  17. pedrohill22December 22, 2013 at 3:07 pmReply

I just tried this this morning and my hair actually looks good. I skipped
the oil, but I used some tresseme curl lotion stuff and garnier spray in
curl gel. Then I used a generic of biosilk. I have a microfiber towel so I
used that. And it really worked. Though the spray gel is kind of a PITA,
and I think I put a little too much in spots so I’ll have to figure out how
to do it better next time.

  18. curlywavydianeDecember 22, 2013 at 3:45 pmReply

good luck!! =) i think my hair personally looks better air dried. lol
diffusing it makes frizz for me

  19. curlywavydianeDecember 22, 2013 at 3:53 pmReply

bringing curls back to health from straightening- it might be beneficial
for you if you haven’t seen already..thanks for the compliment and i’m glad
to be of help! haha i just keep it real and act like me, so happy you are
    entertained! hehe =)

its not tugging, it’s raking- like combing. i’m not really pulling on the
    hair hard

  21. mustafaDecember 22, 2013 at 4:55 pmReply

oh wow first time seeing rake and shake method. i would have never thought
thst tugging the hair like that would let it curl back up. hope it works on
    my hair too :-) thanks!

  22. slvrangel22December 22, 2013 at 5:04 pmReply

Would you mind listing the products you use? I purchased the towel. I’m
    interested in trying this approach.

  23. ShazvanaDecember 22, 2013 at 5:45 pmReply

You are so cute:) Your hair is awesome and it’s so great to see you
embracing your curls. My hair is curly underneath at the back but heavy and
straight on top and I can never get it to look good if I leave it natural
because of the mix of curls and straight…and don’t get me started on the
dam frizz!! lol Great video as always, thanks heaps cause it did give me
    some useful tips.

Definitely. Sometimes it’s a trial and error till you find the right one
    that works for you.

  27. joselinessDecember 22, 2013 at 7:36 pmReply

this woman is wise, i have very curly hair, and im terrified to cut it
because not everyone is able to do it, they might cut straight hair nicely,
but it doesnt mean they can deal with curly hair. Sometimes just to cut the
tips of my hair they end up cutting so much that i lose all the length i
have gained, and for me to grow my hair is extremely hard

Hi, look for a shampoo that says gentle and can use daily. In between
shampoos, you can simply rinse with water and condition. Do not condition
your scalp. You can rinse your hair once a week with apple cider vinegar
and water. This will help to remove oils and buildup. Please see my video
    on this.

  31. sj1605December 22, 2013 at 8:18 pmReply

@YouTips4U thank u for ur response. Yea she’s such a cute girl. But she
wont keep anything on her hair so tying it is not an option unfortunately.
I personally love the special fx silk drops for my hair even though its
straight. Do you think that is ok to use on a two year old’s hair? I have
tried the baby detangling products. I hate them.

Hi, thanks so much for sharing! I agree with you about the trend for
straightening hair. People with curly hair should embrace it. It’s so
    lovely!!

I have super curly hair and I was brave and got an inverted bob, but my
stylist and I talked, she cut it a little longer than she would on a
straight haired person. I looks cute straight or curly! You can be brave
with your hair it will grow back.

  38. YouTips4UDecember 22, 2013 at 11:10 pmReply

HI, it’s light enough for every day use.

  39. YouTips4UDecember 23, 2013 at 12:03 amReply

Hi, yes, if you have oily skin on your face and chest it can mean you have
an oily scalp as well, but you may not. Our bodies are always changing. It
sounds like the oil glands on your scalp have changed or perhaps you are
perspiring more from exercise. I would just shampoo every two days instead
of 3 or more and see if that helps. I can’t go more than 2-3 days myself or
my hair looks greasy, but many times it depends on what shampoo I used.
NA-PCA spray is a fine moisturizer for hair and skin.

Hi, try spraying your hair lightly with a soft-hold hairspray before using
the curling iron. Spray each section first then apply the iron. Be sure to
keep the hair curled around the iron for about 10 seconds. That should help :o )

@brawyn777 I found out on a youtube clip (i cant remember the name sorry!)
that if you put olive oil in your hair whilst washing it will get rid of
frizz. It does work for me but only if i use it on all hair below the chin
so it doesnt get greasy. I usually do it after rinsing out shampoo and i
put conditioner straight on afterwards without rinsing. Hope this helps!!!
    xx <3

Water lily I have very long hair not quite as curly as yours. I wish it
was. I use to be licensed as a hairdresser and curly hair was never
actively sought out. Your hair does not frizz easily. If I pulled my curly
hair apart mine would go very frizzy. I use to use Matrix Vavoom curly hair
gel and it would get my hair as curly and ringlet perfect as yours. What
products do you use? One thing; I use to live on the beach in San
Diego, when I would go swimming my hair would dry soooo perfect. But a
